Background: At the end of 2019, the world faced an extremely serious problem: the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Regarding the labor area this situation was felt a lot. In this areas there were changes and adaptations to work circumstances, such as e-working. The assessment of job satisfaction is meaningful. Therefore, it must be done regularly so that managers are aware of what may or may not be failing in the performance of their employees. Job satisfaction is complex and subjective because it varies from individual to individual and from context to context. Objective: Understand if there are significant differences in the levels of job satisfaction of professors working during the period of lockdown and post-lockdown. Method: The sample consisted of 39 professors from Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim de Carvalho. Questionnaires were answered in two phases (one that corresponds to the period of lockdown and another that corresponds to the period of post-lockdown). The final variables evaluated are the dimensions of job satisfaction and well-being. Results: There is a significant increase in the results of the variables of intrinsic satisfaction and satisfaction with participation, compared to the others. This evolution was verified in the comparison of the periods in question (lockdown and post-lockdown). The remaining results, although not statistically relevant, show a positive evolution. Conclusion: There are no significant differences in job satisfaction in the period of lockdown and post lockdown.
